Can the gods make me tired?
As usual, my insomnia kept me awake far later than is wise. For some reason I woke up at 7, though. That gave me 3 hours of sleep. I'm hoping I can fall asleep again before 9.
My problem is sleep-onset insomnia. It takes me forever to fall asleep and I wake up easily. Once I'm up, I'm up. There's too much running through my head to relax. I have to pull out my old standard, my giant book on Egyptian archaeology. It gets me to concentrate enough to fall asleep.
Yes, I'm a geek.

man, that sucks. I feel you on that. Do you drink a lot of caffeine? I cut back on that and took some homeopathic medicine that helps, but my husbands snoring wakes me up off and on pretty much all night!
I gave up coffee almost entirely lol. I drink mostly water and juice now.
I forgot to mention that it's not as bad as it used to be. Most nights I can get to sleep before 2. The problem is that I end up staying up so late and then I sleep late in the day to make up for it, in bits and pieces. I miss my normal nocturnal cycle.
But the book works!
Oh lord. There is nothing worse than insomnia! So frustrating.
The only thing I've heard is the old chamomile tea thing, a low dose of Melatonin, and no TV past 9PM.
Apparently the electromagnetic field from TV can agitate the agitated soul. Doesn't sound like fun though, does it?
I'll think happy sleepy thoughts for you.
Thank you!
I'm afraid I can't give up my tv, though. haha... not when Prison Break comes on at 9.
I'm something of an insomniac, too. I sleep about four hours a night. I'm given up on trying to sleep longer than that.
A bit ago you mentioned something about figuring out how to make links. I can help you with that, if you like. You can e-mail me at icarusgrounded5 at yahoo dot com
